Fast Five

This is going to be short and sweet because there is no way I can actually defend this movie.  Well, one way which I will touch on quickly, but nothing else.  The movie is Fast Five.

All I really have to say is how fun this movie is.  It’s adrenaline from start to finish bringing back almost every living character from the previous films (excluding 3 because it takes place after 4 and 5), to make a team for a heist.  Yes, this is a heist film.  A fun heist film.  Throw in some sweaty Dwayne Johnson.  How can you go wrong with Fast Five?

You could go wrong with it if you filled it with the CG crap from Fast and Furious.  But they didn’t!  There was a lot of practical driving, practical action...a lot of practical effects in general.  It’s great to see this kind of stuff.  There aren’t enough practical effects in movies anymore.

Yeah, that’s all I’ve got.  This movie starts by being turned up to eleven, and it stays at eleven until it ends.  It’s the most fun I have had watching a movie in a long time.

Wait...plot and cast.  I was too hung up on the fun to say that stuff.  Okay.  Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, and the team from the fourth movie.  They decide to rob a Brazilian crime boss’s hundred million dollars.  Dwayne Johnson is trying to catch them all.  Simple as that.

What a boring paragraph, eh?  I find it a little bit necessary though.  This movie was a fun decoy from the horror marathon.  Going to get back to that now, though.  Six Fast Cars Getting Furious will have to wait.
