Previously in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers , we wrapped up the first season with an episode about Zack taking Angela out on a date.   The pearl earrings he bought her froze everyone, leaving only Zack and Tommy to fight off a giant oyster monster.   Then the season was over. This post marks the beginning of the second season, a season that will bring big changes.   Right now, the Power Rangers are Jason, Zack, Trini, Tommy, Kimberly, and Billy.   Sometime during this season, we will be introduced to Rocky, Adam, and Aisha.   First we have to be introduced to Lord Zedd, the new main villain.   Lord Zedd will replace Rita Repulsa as the monster/person trying to conquer Earth. Season 2 begins with a three part story called The Mutiny .   I think it will be the transition from Rita Repulsa to Lord Zedd.   It should be a good transition, leading to a more frightening villain.   Let’s get to the first episode. On August 28, 1993, a new children’s television show premiered that would change the television landscape forever.   Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired its first episode, Day of the Dumpster .   It would start a franchise that has survived two decades and is still going strong. Day of the Dumpster was about getting the Power Rangers together.   Evil witch Rita Repulsa was freed from a space dumpster and decided to attack Earth.   She started with the city of Angel Grove.   Zordon and his robot assistant Alpha-5 found five teenagers with attitude to protect the planet.   Jason Lee Scott, Trini Kwan, Zack Taylor, Kimberly Ann Hart, and Billy Cranston made up the initial lineup of the Power Rangers.   Jason was the leader as they fought a new monster of Rita’s design each episode. The show chronicled both the team as they fought evil, and their high school lives.   Two other students, Bulk and Skull, made regular appearances as the comedic foil in the high school storylin

I finally made it, ladies and gentlemen.   This is the final episode of the premiere season of Power Rangers .   There is a lot to like about this milestone.   This is the end of the first step in watching and writing about the Power Rangers franchise.   Moving onto the next episode will signal my commitment to these posts.   And the show as a whole can only go up from here. What do I expect to happen in this episode?   My biggest hope is that something will push the show forward.   There probably won’t be death or anything.   But maybe they defeat Rita Repulsa once and for all.   I know next season brings in Lord Zedd as the villain (until Rita returns and teams up with him).   Perhaps something will actually come of Tommy’s fading power coin.   The villain should be one of the toughest yet.   If all of this stuff happens, I will be happier than ever.   If some of it happens, I will still be happy. So, for the last time in the first season, let’s get onto my summary of
