First Time Watches: September 2020

Image
Every month, I watch a whole bunch of movies. Some of them are movies that I like to revisit as a sort of comfort to myself. I know them, I usually enjoy them, and I want to feel the experience of watching them again. Or it has been so long since I saw them that I feel the need for a refresher. Then there are the movies that I watch for the first time. These new-to-me movies get a blank slate as I go in. I hope for the best. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don’t. This post is all about those first time watches. It’s about my thoughts on the movies that I never saw before and finally got around to checking out. Good or bad, I want to get my thoughts out there. I want to share them with the few people who actually take the time to read whatever I write. I also want to come to terms with some of the movies, myself. Writing out my thoughts can sometimes help to better understand why I thought that way. September 2020 had a bunch of first time watches. Not as many as some of the months l...

First Time Watches: June 2019

Over the past five or so years, I have regularly been sharing posts about my first time watches in any given month. There was a time that I fell behind, resulting in nearly a year’s worth of backlog. Though, it hadn’t been a whole year without a post. I’m currently working my way through that backlog to finish the first time watches posts that I missed during that down time. It was a big summer filled with life and work and not knowing that a pandemic was just around the corner. It was also a month of fifteen first time watches. Over the course of that month, I went to the drive-in to see a couple movies. One was a rewatch and one was a new watch. I went to Netflix to check out two original m...

Previously in Power Rangers Zeo , Tommy and Kat had a child. Not really. They were taking care of a child as a part of a school project where they had to role play a married couple. The child was kidnapped by The Machine Empire and the Zeo Rangers fought to get them back. It was a fun episode filled with great action and high stakes. Power Rangers Zeo was great with the character episodes early on. There was one about Tanya, one that had to do with Rocky, and then a Tommy/Kat split episode. That left Adam and Billy to highlight if the show wanted cover all the bases (no pun intended). Whatever the case, it seemed like it had to do with baseball. That was because the episode was titled… Episode 6: Rangers in the Outfield Adam and Rocky were part of the Angel Grove High School baseball team. During one of their practices, Tanya came to visit. Of course, she wasn’t only visiting the two of them. Her boyfriend was the captain of the team. He was the star player. When one of the ball...
